I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Vancouver, BC) in Sep 2013
Interview
Straight forward, a mix of behavioural questions and experience questions. Phone interview at first, they ask 5-10 questions, I can't remember since it's been awhile now. It took about a week and a half to get the in-person interview. I had two people interviewing me.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself, what is your experience working in this field? Tell me about a time you worked with a difficult customer?
Interview process was simple, energetic, basic and to the point. There was not a lot of extra conversation and the interview felt rushed. I would like to understand the position better with a quick question of what to expect on a typical day.

Interview
The interview was as expected. I was able to explain my past experience and soft skills to secure the position. Having a passion for outreach truly shines through and is necessary for any position with the YMCA
