he YMCA interview process includes an online application, phone screening, in-person or virtual interview, verification of certifications, background and reference checks, followed by orientation and training before starting the role.
I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (San Diego, CA) in Feb 2015
Interview
everything was done through the phone and e-mail. Just need to watch videos and answer questionnaires. No need for direct 1 to 1 as it is a volunteer position. Still learnt a lot about the company from all the videos and information given.
very professional, and the employer was very understanding of my schedule and how my experience as a former player would put me at higher possibility of getting the job. it was a very calm environment.
Fairly simple, basic interviewing questions, experience level etc. They seemed primarily interested in experience, availability, and safety. Overall, it wasn't very difficult. The call was online, and three people were on the call.
