I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Chicago, IL) in Jul 2013
Interview
Basic questions about working with children, availability to work, have I had any first aid/CPR training. Also discussed starting pay and shift minimum. I was referred by another employee, so we discussed how I knew that employee.
Interview also covered what trainings would need to be required before I could officially start the job.
It is pretty relaxed and just questions about your experience with kids. They will let you get CPR and first aid certified. Wasn’t too much had about two different interviews.
