I interviewed at The Spike Lab

      Interview

I was approached by a headhunter on LinkedIn. The headhunter scheduled a meeting with the CEO directly. Since he's based in New York, we did the call around 10pm my time via Zoom. As I joined his Zoom, he was still on a previous call. He didn't have the waiting room set up, so I was there listening to his meeting with another guy. During our video call, he was eating his sandwich and picking his teeth afterwards. I'm quite used to a casual workplace, but eating during an interview right in front of the camera - what kind of vibe are you trying to give out? Maybe he had already decided I'm not a good fit, but I find it quite rude.

      Question 1

Just chatted about what I currently do and who they hope to find. Nothing crazy. I think mainly they couldn't match my salary so it was a no go.
