Reflecting on my application experience for the Computational Associate I position at the Broad Institute, I found the process to be structured and thorough. After submitting my resume, I was promptly invited to complete a coding assessment, which evaluated my proficiency in relevant programming languages and problem-solving skills. Following the coding assessment, I participated in a video interview where I responded to short questions designed to assess my communication abilities, motivation, and alignment with the institute's mission. This structured approach allowed the Broad Institute to comprehensively evaluate my technical skills and cultural fit.

I did a coffee chat-like interview with the PI. He was very friendly and nice. I talked the projects that I have been working and my future career goal. He also talked about the focus of his lab. The conversation was great.

Tell me about one time you worked on a large-scale project.
I'm still in the middle of it. After the initial screening, they'll send a coding assessment and interview video link (you can record the answer to 5 questions on your own time, with unlimited retries).
Three rounds, including some technical background and multiple team members. Most of the interview are based on your background, and your biological background as well. You meet with everyone that you would be working with.
