      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at The British Army (Chester, England) in Jan 2013

      Interview

The interviews are spread out over a series of months. Including spoken interviews (more like informal chats), written tests and physical tests. Each interview and the BARB (written) test will be conducted at your local careers office. After your medical has been passed you can now proceed. There will then be a pre selection day, that you will attend to test fitness, before going on to your actual selection, which is spread over 2-3 days. You spend this time away from home, so be prepared. After selection, there's a final interview, you take your oath and then wait on a job interview. For the infantry it's almost instantaneously, for other trades there's normally a wait of 6-12 months.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Various personal questions such as family, friends, debt, why you chose the job you chose. As I said before. It's more of a casual chat, but still but a little effort into what you wear. Smart jeans and a polo will be fine.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 7 months. I interviewed at The British Army (Pirbright, England) in Dec 2018

      Interview

The actual application process too around 7 months altogether. The Selection process was around 2 days with various assessments taking place, such as an ice breaker, team building exercise, where we had to overcome an obstacle using different bits of equipment. The test was pretty easy and enables you to see if you are eligible for the job or not. The people were friendly and gave good advice on the day.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      1) What i wanted to get out of the army. 2) why i wanted to join the army. 3) have i considered other career paths. 4) Why i wanted to be an infantry man.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at The British Army (Wembley, England) in May 2013

      Interview

I went to the Army Careers office in Wembley and wanted more information about the Army to help me make my decision whether I should join or not. Once I made my decision to join I took the BARB test. It's the most easiest test in the world, I actually felt embarrassed taking it. Once the test was complete, depending on your answers and how quickly you answered them, it printed out a sheet telling me what jobs I could do in the Army. I just wanted to be like Rambo at the time to be honest so I decided infantry long before I took any test.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Why do you want to join the Army? What can you tell me about the Regiment you want to join?
