I interviewed at The Blood Connection (Raleigh, NC)
Interview
It was a simple zoom call with the manager of the district you’re applying for. They’re looking for problem solving, communication, and community engagement skills.
They’ll likely bring up how high turnover is and claim that it’s because the job is hard. That’s not why turnover is high.
Tell them you’re committed, ready to work, and flexible and you’ll likely get the job. Just be ready to be treated as disposable.

Question 1
What would you do if you have an event coming up that needs 18 appointments but you only have 5, it’s 1 week away.
I applied online. I interviewed at The Blood Connection (Arden, NC) in Apr 2021
Interview
I applied through a job board. A recruiter followed up with me within 5-10 business days. We walked through salary expectations, general role requirements, etc . this was about 25-30 minutes - fairly standard phone screen. I then did an in-person interview with a regional director. She brought in another coworker and it was very informal. They were mostly telling me about the role and did not ask me too many questions. I think they needed people as I wasn't overly enthusiastic about the role. I got a call back from HR on the following business day with an offer.
