A side note, the title of the job changed multiple times during the process, from Manager, to Senior, to Lead.
I was quickly contacted by Thales for a phone screen because of my industry experience and almost identical role at a previous defense contractor. It all went south from there. The HR contact was previously employed at my company and claimed she did not know me. Well, unless she knows all 70,000 people, its a distinct possibility. She began to literally grill me on what I did, who I worked for and in what department, as if I was lying! It was incredibly uncomfortable, unprofessional, and unlike anything I have experienced in a job screening or interview. For the most part, she never asked about any other things on my resume, or any other questions you would typically expect from the screening process about the actual job.
I have worked in the TS/SCI world for many years, and I will tell you now that there is usually only a handful of HR specialists assigned to handle personnel in these types of programs because they require clearance. This individual was either ignorant of this, or had a HUGE chip on their shoulder about it, which may be the reason "she didn't know me". The unprofessional treatment I experienced is a good indication of why she no longer works at my previous employer!
I did not here back. I then received an email that I was being reviewed for a different job, with now a similar but different title. And I just received an email today that I am no longer under consideration.
Incredibly unprofessional and I am glad to no longer be under consideration.
