I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at TastyPlacement (Austin, TX) in Nov 2011
Interview
I found an old job listing on Craigslist and followed the company's suggestion to like them on Facebook for future job postings. A search marketing trainee position was posted a couple of weeks later. I emailed the owner my resume and cover letter and was called in for an interview a few days later.
The interview was less standard Q&A and more conversational. We talked about my previous work and skills that would apply to the job itself. The head of operations was called into the interview to ask a few more questions. The owner was upfront that he would like to offer me the job pending a final conversation with the head of operations. I received final confirmation that I had the job the next day.

Interview
It was a very casual interview. 2 superiors interviewed me, asking me a series of questions. Some questions were behavioral, like how did I act in a difficult situation with a client. Other questions focused on critical thinking skills and required me to think on my feet. They also asked about my experiences and how they applied to this position.

He prefers when you actually know someone who already works at the company. They called me two hours after my interview to tell me I got the job,
