One of my prior work colleagues recommended me for a role. I interviewed with the CEO and the VP of Engineering. The major focus in the interview with the CEO was on ensuring cultural fit, a willingness to get things done and business acumen, while the VP of Engineering assessed my technical competencies. In general, it seemed like there was a significant focus on finding team members who could be future leaders as the company grew.
