Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I feel there may be some misalignment internally on the interview process. I was told to come ready with a collateral that I'd walk through and to discuss sales enablement related topics with the VP of Marketing. The collateral examples the recruiter recommended were more product focused so I built a brand new one that's more relevant for the conversation. However, during my actual interview with the VP, we didn't even go over the collateral that I spent a lot of time building. None of the questions were sales enablement related as well. I was pretty disappointed because I even moved up my interview and had a short turnaround time for the collateral development per their request to speed up the interview process. Was immediately rejected with no inquire for interview experience feedback.
I had a disappointing experience interviewing for a Product Marketing Manager role. The initial HR screening went well and gave the impression of a structured process. However, shortly after, I received an automated rejection email from Greenhouse. I followed up with HR for clarification but received no response. Then, I was sent another email confirming my next interview with the hiring manager for March 30, which added to the confusion.
On the day of the interview, I joined on time and waited for over 20 minutes, but the hiring manager never showed up. There was no prior communication, no update, and no follow-up even after I reached out again. Overall, the process felt highly uncoordinated and unprofessional, and the lack of communication throughout made the experience frustrating and unclear.
