      Human Resources Business Partner Interview

      Dec 7, 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Sarajevo
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at TP (Sarajevo) in Nov 2023

      Interview

I had an interview with three HR individuals, and one from Bosnia stood out for not having a clue. The interview began with HR in Bosnia, where the department was like a big, dysfunctional family packed with toxic vibes. While the other two HR people were knowledgeable about the job's details, this Bosnian representative seemed lost. She couldn't explain how performance reviews work and instead rambled about team building and drinks after work. It's quite disappointing, especially considering the candidate has four years of experience as an HR Business Partner, to lack knowledge about performance management. It was frustrating because she missed the point. I needed information about the job, not stories about team-building activities. Compared to the others, this Bosnian HR representative seemed completely out of her depth. I didn't hear back about the interview until I reached out directly to the recruiter, who promptly sent a generic email. During the interview, I found myself asking more questions than receiving adequate responses from the recruiters. There's a serious shortage of technical and soft skills in HR, which was pretty obvious during the initial interview—seems like they're being run by amateurs. Overall, the HR representative from Bosnia failed to maintain professionalism, significantly impacting the quality and relevance of the interview.

      Interview

The interview process Was very fair and it all happened either via phone, skype, or FaceTime. Each person I called spoke highly of the company given the time frame they had been employed with the company. I was fully engaged in conversation amongst asking questions about the position and the company overall. I was highly impressed.
