Initial screening was by phone with the Atlanta office. Someone who knew very little about the position itself, and had only been in this role for two weeks. Super awkward and could easily have been done by online questionnaire.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you handle having more to do than the workday allowed you to accomplish?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at TK Elevator (Fort Worth, TX) in Apr 2021
Interview
The interview process started off rocky from the very beginning. I arrived on time, but the interviewer was running 20 minutes late and seemed rushed when she finally joined the meeting. She didn’t introduce herself or explain her role, and she jumped straight into random questions that didn’t seem related to the job description.

Question 1
They asked me, “Why do you think you’d be a good fit for this role?” but before I could really explain my experience, the interviewer cut me off and said, “Everyone says that. What makes you actually different?”
It caught me off guard because it felt more like a challenge than a genuine question, and the tone made it hard to give a confident answer. It definitely added to the awkward vibe of the whole interview.
