I applied online. I interviewed at TJ Maxx in Sep 2020
Interview
I submitted my application pre-holiday season and the next day I got a text from a manager. They set up a phone interview later that day. The interview consisted of basic questions about my resume mainly my work experience and what I was hoping to be paid. I was then asked to come in for an in-person interview with the head store manager. He pretty much asked me basic customer service related questions and again about my work experience. I moved around a bit so my track record with jobs was anywhere from 3-9 months. They wanted someone who would stay for a longer amount of time since they “train to hire”. I would make sure to be as friendly and customer service like as possible since they determine which position you’re good for on the spot. I ended up mainly being placed in the front ends/returns slots. I’ve rarely ever been on the floor since I accepted the offer back in September.

Question 1
What is costumer service to you?
What does Tj Max make you wanna work here ?
Lowkey interview. Multiple people watched a video chatted with a manager. The expectations seemed pretty low. Nice environment and kind reflections of people's answers. The supervisors seemed to like their jobs (which is pretty rare these days).
It was not bad at all. It just took a while to get the job. I had to keep calling about my application to get feedback if I was getting an interview or not
