I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at TAMKO (Dallas, TX)
Interview
Applied through a recruiter. Conducted a phone interview followed up by an on-site interview and plant tour. On-site interview consisted of a group interview with potential peers and supervisors, followed by one-on-one interviews with the GM, Assistant GM, and a few other people. Questions were pretty basic, mostly trying to verify your background and see if you are culturally a good fit for the company (IE: male). The company was either disorganized and the management had little control over their personnel. Half of the personnel scheduled to attend my group interview either did not show up or were late. Early in the day I spoke about the position with the hiring manager and he explained different aspects of the job. Later when speaking with the GM I brought up some of those aspects and explained why I would be a good fit for the position, and the GM responded that those aspects would not be part of my duties. There appeared to be a significant disconnect between the GM and hiring manager.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at TAMKO (Joplin, MO)
Interview
It was extensive; get to meet everyone I was supposed to work with. It was a day-long meet and greet with other engineers, bosses, and technicians. Two-stage interview: remote and in-person if they proceed to call you.

Question 1
Questions were mostly to understand my compatibility with the team.
