I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Swoon (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2016
Interview
I went through a number of interviews and did really well with HR and even did some shadowing. I ended up interviewing with a manager who asked me the question what motivates you. I had mentioned a number of things however was not pushed into the next round because "money" was not my top answer. It really showed what kind of company it was. The HR contacts I had were shocked when I was not pushed through. I explained to them that I really wanted the job and then they fought for me. They gave me 1 day and 1 time slot that I could interview however, I was unavailable for an interview that day. They said that was the only day I could get a second chance and I after I removed myself from consideration. They seemed more like a cult that a company that thrives on diversity and inclusion.
I was contacted online and scheduled a virtual screen. It was maybe 30 minutes long. I learned a bit about the org, not as much about the position in question. The interviewer was prompt in response and on time to our interview
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Swoon
Interview
I had a phone screen with the recruiter who wanted to submit my resume for their client, they had me sign an agreement to represent and asked for my last 4 of SSN which was kind of weird. The recruiter seemed excited to talk to me but I never heard back again. I followed up by email, and text msg which they had originally texted me from and nothing - a few weeks later I followed up with someone in leadership and the recruiter got back to me immediately saying he never got anything from me and the position was filled. overall very unprofessional especially given the role was for a recruiter and they know that we recruiters understand the process. I would not trust them to rep me for any future roles.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Swoon (Chicago, IL)
Interview
Recruiter called me as soon as I applied. Told me I’d be great for the role and that they’re sending my info to their client, Walgreens. Never heard from them again.
I followed up with the recruiter a week later, still no response. I understand if things changed, but it was weird that they straight up ignored my email. A simple email letting me know I was no longer a fit is all they had to do.

Question 1
Barely asked any questions. Asked what type of recruiting experience I had, companies I worked for, etc.
