Phone screen followed by a 4 hour in person interview. The sales team did not seem to understand the basic marketing funnel, or even know what an MQL was. Product marketing seems to have a realistic and tough grip on the market. Some interviewers seemed to want marketing to do sales jobs such as hard sell a difficult customer, and act as an SDR at events, others expected me to have ideas on how to deal with legislative issues on transportation. Overall might be the right company for someone with a lot of experience marketing to government and dealing with the uncertainty of a startup. VP of Marketing and Product Marketing seem to have a great grasp on the product and company, the rest of the team is rather young and new so it was a little confusing being interviewed by them.
