      Recruiter Interview

      Mar 26, 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Stitch Fix (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2015

      Interview

I had a phone interview with the Head of HR, and had a pleasant conversation. She invited me to come on-site to meet with the team, and do an all day interview with some of the people I'd be working with. After the interview wrapped up, I asked her when I would hear back. She asked me a lot of questions about my salary requirements and acted very interested in bringing me back for a final round the following week. When I sent her an email a couple days later thanking her for the interview and consideration and asking for next steps, I never heard back. I am particularly miffed because I got a ticket when I left the interview which ended up costing me over $500 dollars. I just wish there would've been some level of respect for my time and effort.

      Recruiter Interview

      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Stitch Fix

      Interview

I had a phone interview with the hiring manager and it was okay, she was very nice but didn't seem to have a strong recruiting background. I was invited for a second round with a few others but I withdrew from the process as some flags came up. For example, they wanted me to create a diversity recruiting strategy and present it and if that wasn't enough they also wanted me to source candidates on LinkedIn for a leadership position they were having a hard time filling. I typically charge money for this type of work so it felt exploitive to me.

I don't recall, I just provided feedback in hopes they change their processes.

      Apr 17, 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Stitch Fix (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2015

      Interview

I did not apply, they contacted me through LinkedIn. Had a brief phone conversation. Asked me to come in for in-person at 12 noon. The interviewer was so busy we had to walk down the street and grab lunch while interviewing, the interviewer bought lunch, but it was still very casual; felt a bit juvenile and unprofessional. Trying too hard to cater to the "hipster" candidates. They are hiring 90% developers which are typically under 30. But some people still like to be grown ups.

What is an out of the box recruiting method you've tried, and what was the outcome?
