      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Stitch Fix (Indianapolis, IN) in May 2020

      Interview

The entire interview process lasted a little over 3 months. It started with an initial writing assignment, followed by one phone interview, 4 separate video interviews, and one presentation interview. The interviews were structured but also relaxed and conversational.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Questions varied by interviewer and were closely related to your experience and the job description. Regular questions like "tell me more about your experience" and "how do you work with someone you might not get along with?"

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Stitch Fix (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2019

      Interview

I had two phone interviews with a recruiter and office coordinator before I was invited to an in-person interview at the photo studio (in the Tenderloin of all places). The onsite interview process was 3 hours long and consisted of 4 one on one interviews followed by a project presentation that they give you a week to work on. The project and the questions they asked were a bit vague. They will tell you there's no right answer, but they clearly have a right answer in mind, which requires inside knowledge of the company and culture. What I really didn't appreciate was that they sent me an automatic rejection email after I took the time to complete a project that I presented as part of a long interview process, kind of overkill for what the job is. The least they could do is send a personal email. It was really unprofessional of them and shows that they don't embody or care about the values they constantly harp on during the interview process. Think about that before you invest your time in opportunities at this company.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

-What would you do if the entire production had to shut down early due to an emergency? Extreme temperatures? -What if someone showed up late or had to leave early? -What would you do if new talent forgot to bring in their IDs? -How would you handle a situation where talent or crew are telling you their check amount should be different than what you’re handing off? -How would you partner with production to create a process that ensures checks are handed off on time so we aren’t liable for late fees? -How would you communicate the payment process to someone new to the studio?
