Met with CFO for a Controller position in December 2025. During the recruiter call, I was told that they were adding a third controller due to company growth. Turned out that CFO was not adding staff but was clandestinely interviewing candidates to replace an existing team member. Perhaps they had their reasons, but I try not to approach life and career that way.
