I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Stand Together (Arlington, VA) in Jan 2024
Interview
The process was ok. It could have been better. Communication was very lagged from 2nd round interview to 3rd panel. 3rd panel is very long with no breaks. Heavily drilling you with questions. One of my interviewers were asking me questions regarding my resume that was very clear. Didn’t understand why she would ask for my timeline at all particular job if it were already there. HRL was very cold and not interested. Not diversity in the meeting 3 white ladies and one black woman interviewing a black woman.

I applied online. I interviewed at Stand Together (Ballston, VA)
Interview
Very streamlined and thoughtful process. An internal recruiter reached out, did a phone interview, and then a Zoom interview with possible colleagues, and finalized with an in-person. Definitely vetting candidates based on their ideals and how they would work passionately towards the mission.

Question 1
What in Stand Together's mission do you find alignment with?
Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad the interview process felt thoughtful and streamlined. We’re intentional about exploring mission alignment and how candidates want to contribute, since our work depends on people who are energized by empowering others.
The process began with a screening conversation with a recruiter followed by a series of panel type interviews. The process was well organized that the recruiter provided quite a bit of education information to learn about the organization.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Stand Together in Jun 2024
Interview
Initial screen with recruiter and then a video interview with two team members. The recruiter and one of the hiring members were nice but the other person was not remotely interested in what I was saying. It kind of almost felt that she couldn't be bothered to continue with the interview and kept referring to her colleague to ask questions. At one point she yawned while I was answering a questions. She finally asked a question about scheduling conflicts and what I would do and when I felt like I gave her a strong answer, she said, "Let me reword this question because I am looking for something specific." I feel like that is problematic if you are looking for specific answers because you are not willing give someone a chance to perform but rather have them work like a robot to fit your expectations and needs. I also obviously have never worked for the organization or under her so I would not have a clue what her expectations were. Thank goodness I didn't get the job.
