I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Srds (Des Plaines, IL) in Mar 2014
Interview
Originally contacted by HR for a phone interview which went very well. Pleasant and professional. Received a proper follow-up call for an interview.
One area I was a little unsettled with was when I was offered the position, I had five hours to decide during the work day. I felt at least an over night decision would have been more respectful.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Basic questions about the job, my past history and what I can bring to the table. There was a question about my age which I thought should not have been asked..... but when you want the job, what can you do.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Srds in Jun 2014
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter from the parent company - Kantar media. We had a very productive discussion and he was really impressed with my resume and experience. He was very excited about the prospect of hiring me. He even told me directly that of all the people he interviewed i had a perfect match of skills and experience. Next step would have been to schedule an in-person interview. Things went south when i told him about my current salary which is exactly the Chicago average (check Glassdoor product manager salary). He said he'll try to push my case but that salary is way over the current manager salaries at the company. Next day he gets back in touch with me to tell me that the company unfortunately cannot afford me.

Question 1
Standard questions for a product manager position. They have a system by which you need to create a table with two column - one is copy pasting the job requirements and the other one is dedicated to your previous experience and how it ties to that job requirement. We simply went over the answers.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Srds (Des Plaines, IL)
Interview
The initial setup for the interview, through a head hunter, was as it usually is - gave me some options over the coming week and allowed me to select the day. Was a little difficult to find the building and ended up being a few minutes late but they were very gracious. Most important to note was the length of the interview, more than 5 hours told, including a lunch break they paid for. Got a good feeling for what the office actually ended up being like from the interview. Very nice and friendly people.

Question 1
None of the questions were difficult for someone with years of experience and surely none were out of line or unrelated to the job.
