I applied online. I interviewed at Spektrix (New Brunswick, NJ) in Jan 2026
Interview
I went through several rounds of interviews with Spektrix and was informed throughout the process that the company prioritizes equitable hiring practices. Based on everything I read on the company’s website about rethinking recruitment and improving the hiring experience, this role was actually my top choice.
My final video interview took place on January 9, 2026, and as of March 12, 2026, I have still not received any follow-up or communication regarding the outcome of the process.
As a recruiting leader with seven years of experience in global talent acquisition, this was particularly disappointing. I understand that hiring timelines can shift and that decisions sometimes take longer than expected. However, basic candidate communication is a fundamental part of a respectful hiring process.
In my own role, I make it a point to personally notify candidates via phone call when they are no longer being considered. While I don’t expect every organization to operate exactly the same way, going more than two months without any update - especially after multiple interview rounds - reflects beyond poorly on the candidate experience.
It is surprising to see a company publicly emphasize equitable and thoughtful hiring practices while failing to provide even a basic update to candidates who invested significant time in the process.
