The Sonoco recruiter called me for an interview and she set up an interview with the hiring manager a few days later. Both interviews went well. A few weeks later, I was set up for two panel interviews onsite, one after the other. A day or two after that, I was asked to come to an impromptu interview in another city and that I would be reimbursed for the costs. The hiring manager and a few other managers wanted to speak with me again because apparently it was between me and an internal candidate and they couldn't decide which way to go. I waited a week (and with no answer from them) I decided to contact the recruiter and hiring manager for some news. The recruiter then emailed me to say that they went with the internal candidate. Also, they didn't reimburse me even though I contacted them several times; being that I'm unemployed that was an issue.
