Smarty Software Developer interview questions

Overall was an interesting/weird process. Had a HR phone screen followed by an in person interview with 2 senior developers. They gave me a book that they suggested i read. I was then invited for another interview with the Owner/CEO which was a whiteboarding session decribing different software projects and practices. He asked about the book i was given to read also. Reference checks were then run (which were good) and then a generic email declining my application. Overall kind of weird experience
