I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Sleek (Puducherry) in Jun 2025
Interview
I had an interview experience with Sleek recently, and while I appreciate the opportunity, I would like to share some honest feedback that I hope will be helpful for the company and future candidates.
After I applied via Workable, I received an email for scheduling a call — which was well-organised and gave an impression of a team that values their time and stays structured. That level of efficiency was definitely appreciated.
However, the experience during the actual interview was quite different from what I expected. When the call began, there was no warm welcome or even a basic greeting. The tone was very mechanical, and I was told clearly to give only binary answers — just numbers for my years of experience. It felt like my time and presence weren’t valued in the same way the interviewer valued their own.
When it came to a behavioural question — “What would you do if your senior raised a negative feedback?” — I paused briefly to process and reflect honestly. In that short moment, I was abruptly told that I had likely never received negative feedback and that I was not a good fit. I felt surprised and disappointed, as I wasn’t even given a moment to express my thoughts or share any experience. It felt more like my answer was predicted and judged before I could speak, which was disheartening.
The interview felt robotic — more like filling out a form than having a human conversation. I believe a better approach could be giving candidates a pre-interview form for such factual questions, and using the actual interview time for meaningful discussion and idea exchange.
I respect Sleek's values and their goal to be innovative, but I hope they can make their interview process more warm, inclusive, and respectful of candidates’ time and efforts. Everyone brings value, and it's only fair to give people a chance to speak and be understood.
I wish the team at Sleek all the best in their journey, and I genuinely hope this feedback helps in shaping a better experience for future candidates.
