I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Slalom (New York, NY) in Jan 2018
Interview
Recruiter reached out to me via linkedin, then followed up with a message that said I didn't have enough experience -- when I replied highlighting the years of experience I did have she set up a call with another person and I had phone screen and in-person meetings (traveling on my own dime); these meetings were essentially just information gathering sessions so that they could win business with my former employer. Then she set up another call -- basically "due diligence" when I was shocked that they thought I did not have enough experience based on the fact that I paid for my own trip to come up there, clearly had the experience they were asking for, and the interviewer DID NOT even bother to call me. I had to email the recruiter and reschedule it. Completely unprofessional. Then they follow up a week later with the same line trying to say that although they are looking for 5-7 years of experience my 7-10 is not a match, despite going into an hour-long conversation project-by-project of my experience on the 7 year work-history related to the practice I was interviewing for with the previous manager, who clearly did not have as much experience based on the level of detail she needed and explanation.
