      Consultant Interview

      Dec 18, 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Chicago, IL
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Slalom (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2018

      Interview

The interview process was very straight forward: First call: Phone screen and talk about background and learn more about the company from my Talent Acquisition Rep. Result: Meeting with Rep in-person. Second round was in-person at Slalom Office. I met with the same Tal. Acqu. Rep. face to face for about 30-35 mins. More of the same as the first call but a little deeper dive into my background and Slalom in general. Result: 2nd in-person interview at Slalom office. 3rd round was 3-30 minute interviews at Slalom office. Total time allotted was 1.5 hours (very efficient, I wasn't waiting at all). First meeting was with a consultant in the group I was applying for. Very nice guy. We talked about our backgrounds and he told me about his experience at Slalom. Second was with the HR lead. More of the same: discussed our backgrounds and where we were trying to go with our careers. Third session was with the Practice Area Lead in the area I was applying. We talked the analytics industry and then where she saw my talents both in the market and at Slalom. Result: Fourth round in-person with Practice Area Director Note: All three were very laid-back conversations and felt very friendly and professional. 4th round interview with PAD at Slalom office. Roughly an hour long. It was very similar to the 3rd meeting of the 3rd round where we discussed the Analytics-space and how my talents fit at Slalom and the path of the company. Result: 5th meeting with original Talent Acqu. Rep. 5th round was coffee with the Talent Acquisition Representative. We talked about the offer details briefly and then took off. I heard back from the rep later that day and signed. From the first call to the last meeting, the total time was about a month and a half. Everyone I met in the process was very polite, nice and professional. I really enjoyed how everyone I met with made sure that the meeting was relaxed and more of a conversation than an interview.
