I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Slalom Build (Tokyo)
Interview
Interview process was very detailed. All the people I talked with were very knowledgeable and detailed. Even the VPs and Senior Directors were neck deep with the practical Agile concepts.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why do we use definition of ready, definition of done and acceptance criteria.
The Talent acquisition team is very professional, information pack shared with the candidate at the start of the process, informal conversations initially before moving on to skill based assessment. Great overall candidate experience
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Slalom Build in Sep 2022
Interview
Slalom_build has a pretty well-thought-out interview process.
A recruiter reached out to gauge my interest in a new role.
The first Interview was a recruiter screening interview. Questions were to make sure you were a fit with the role requirements. Have you worked on agile projects? In what capacity? Do you understand the ceremonies?
A week later, the second Interview was with a director—mostly behavior & fit questions but a pretty casual conversation.
A week after that, I had three Interviews in 1 day. Interview 1 was a technical interview with scenarios. Interviews 2 & 3 were behavioral, focusing on everyday agile situations.
The offer came in an in-person meeting a week later.
Overall, it was an intentional & transparent process which is all you can ask for.
