I applied online. I interviewed at SkyWest Airlines (Bergen op Zoom) in Jun 2021
Interview
We interviewed on Zoom for social distancing. I interviewed with a line pilot who specializes in HR and technical areas. It was a friendly interview, divided into two parts, the HR and technical.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I don’t remember specifically the questions. We did go over my resume, and asked the usual HR stuff. Just a few questions. The technical part of the interview I was asked what is the absolute ceiling of a multi engine airplane with one engine out. He showed me a Jeppesen chart, a STAR to KPDX and asked if we were descending at Mach .76 what would my change-over point would be. The clue was right on the chart.

Interview
SkyWest’s interview process felt professional, welcoming, and well organized. Recruiters communicated clearly, valued candidates’ time, and created a supportive atmosphere. Questions were thoughtful and relevant, allowing personalities and experience to shine. Overall, the process reflected the company’s strong culture, high standards, and genuine commitment to employee success and long-term growth
Very relaxed. Had to prepare a lot on the topics addressed, but the interview was relatively straight forward with the studying I had done. I felt good in the interview and really was able to ask a lot of questions, learn more about the company, and it allowed me to know this is where I wanted to go.
