I applied online. I interviewed at SkyWest Airlines (San Diego, CA) in Jun 2017
Interview
Applied online. 4 weeks later on 6/27/17 I attended the Hiring event for the group interview in San Diego. The front desk was very helpful with instructions to the actual interview room. The event was at a hotel. The time frame for check in for the interview is from 5pm to 6pm I got there at 4:30pm and once I got off the elevator I realized I wasn't the only one with that bright idea of early arrival. There was a line of about 12 to 15 people. Once in line there was friendly interaction and you quickly become friendly with the other people around you. At my interview there was a recruiter outside of the room letting us know what to do once we are inside and how to check in. I personally made it a point to converse with her and introduce myself.
Once I was inside there was a desk and three recruiters checking everyone in. You are asked to give your name and resume. They ask if you a few questions and let you know to walk over the another recruiter to check your measurements in height.
While everyone is checking in you will have free rain to mingle and get to know others. I would take this time to ask questions and keep in mind the recruiters are watching.
Once everyone is checked in the recruiters pretty much go over the way that Skywest works and the date of training if you are hired after the interview. They go over pay, schedule, bases, etc.
From there if you have questions your free to ask. They give you a 15 min break and ask that if you are not okay or willing to work for the company after all the info given your free to go if not after the 15mins you will be called on in the group to give the 60 sec speak. You are asked , "Why would you be a great flight attendant for Skywest Airlines?"
If you are great with speaking in front of 50+ people you will have no problems being yourself and answering the question. Project and show your personality and SMILE SMILE SMILE. Follow the directions. NO info about your family or loved ones and keep it under 60 secs.
After everyone is finished they let you know names will be posted on one of the hotel doors and if your name is on the list you will be doing a F2F (face to face) interview if not you are free to go home. It was roughly and hour and a half wait time for the list to be posted.
My name was posted and I reported upstairs and waited in the room now full of only 12 people also doing the F2F interview.
When my name was called I walked with one of the recruiters to another room and honestly she was the most down the earth women, we interacted in such a relaxed and honest way. ALL the recruiters were awesome and down to earth.
I was asked a series of question about my work history , if i am okay with relocating , what my desired base is, Situational questions etc.
This took about 20-25mins to finish and I was told I would be getting a email in 2 weeks letting me know if it is a CJO or TBNT.
It was a virtual one on one and after this process they alerted me of my training date a week later. The process was so pretty seemless and the company is good to work for but any little mistake you make you can be out.
The interview process was quick and easy. The recruiters were nice and answered all of my questions. They explained how the benefits worked and were very knowledgeable and the company.
Easy interview

Interview
Most of the interview involved picking apart my previous work experience. Asked a few basic questions, they are just looking for a certain look. It’s obvious. My look did not fit the part
