      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Skills Fund (Austin, TX) in Mar 2016

      Interview

The first interview went mostly over my resume and how well I'd fit in with the company. The second was focused more so on what I'd bring to the position specifically speaking. The second interview also consisted of a case study. Cost estimations and interest rate calculations were part of the process

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How would you assist the marketing team in this position.

      Interview

In person, "30 minute" interview that lasted way longer. Not complaining, I thought it was a good sign. Left the interview with plans to send in a writing sample and schedule another meeting. Sent in my writing sample and did not hear back for days. Finally heard back and we decided to schedule our 2nd interview but was never told what time, just the day. The day of the interview arrives and I still did not have a confirmed time. No surprise we rescheduled. Our rescheduled date was again pushed back to another date. Finally the date arrived when I would meet the founders for my 2nd interview, only to show up with the interviewer not there. It seemed as though she forgot she scheduled the interview. I then met with another team member while we waited for the original interviewer to get back to the office. It was very awkward. The original interviewer finally came in with no questions prepared and just kept asking what questions I had. About 30 mins goes by and she concludes the session. I didn't know how to feel, however the fact that she said I would meet the founders next time and to send over references made me feel like it was going somewhere. I sent in my references as soon as I could and got a reply email stating they went a different direction. Very frustrating. I spend long days preparing for an interview, researching the company, going over questions. It felt as if they forgot about me and dragged me along to make it seem like they didn't. I would have rather been told right off the back so that my time could have been used elsewhere.
