I applied online, a recruiter called me and did a phone screen then set up and in person interview. The in person interview was with the general manager and halfway through he had a different manager join in and also ask me questions. At the end of the interview I was asked to do a role play as if I was checking in a returned car that the customer smoked in. The following day I was called by the recruiter and asked to come in for a “1 hour shadow” of the role which she said typically then ends with an offer. The shadow took almost 3 hours. I was given a tour by a different manager while the role was explained to me. As we observed the CSA’s, not a single one did the check in process correctly. They were all walking around slowly, speaking very quietly, had their hoods up, acting like they did not want to be there. Throughout this process the manager I shadowed introduced me to the entire team as the new CSA and had nothing negative to say regarding our time together. Next I had to wait 30 minutes for the general manager to finish his lunch for him to bring me back into his office and asked if i was still interested in the role (I said I was) and then he said okay he was just going to touch base with the manager who I shadowed and they would reach back out the following day. Two days later I got an email saying I was not selected.
