Stay away from this company! I'm a seasoned professional who has never experienced this level of unprofessionalism, unmet expectations, and disorganization throughout the interview process. There was a communication breakdown between the recruiter and Simpler media where I was offered 10k under the initial agreed upon salary range (this salary was confirmed with initial phone screen and right before the offer and then changed). Both parties unprofessionally blamed the salary discrepancy on each other and spoke ill of each other when I spoke to them individually. The manager then emailed me back to offer me a 1 month contract position instead. This position was and always had been advertised as a full-time position. The interview process was as follows: I had a phone screen with a 3rd party recruiter (he does not get back to you in a timely fashion and does not properly communicate throughout the process), phone screen with the manager, video interview with manager and operations manager, video interview with ceo, in person with marketing manager, and another surprise interview at the end after we had already discussed a potential offer. This surprise interview was actually supposed to be a phone call suggested by the manager to talk to the account manager about the role and how realistic commissions were since I was obviously shocked and concerned about the lower salary expectations. I never would have gone through this process if I knew the salary was 10k below the discussed range let alone the offer had gone down to a one month contract position. However, there was another communication breakdown where the account manager spent 20 minutes interviewing me before I politely interjected by saying it was my understanding this was a phone call to learn more about you than me being interviewed. I told him I was happy to answer any questions he had, but that wasn't the purpose of the call that was suggested by the manager. In addition to the interviews, I had to do a sales skills assessment online, write up why I wanted to work there and add additional thoughts on their suite of products, a mock call, and a sales proposal I spent many hours working on. This was over the course of two months. Good luck finding a top candidate with your false promises and a very long and rigorous interview process.
