Online tests followed by a full day of in-person assessments and interviews as well as a role playing exercise with a 'client' to get on to the VS. There is no further process to get a TC offer.

Interview
There is an application form which requires work experience and other standard details, plus questions about why you have chosen Simmons & Simmons and what you would bring to the role. Then there was a situation judgement test and a logical reasoning test, before a video interview.
In the video interview, you have 30 seconds to consider a question and 90 seconds to answer it. You have no opportunity to re-record answers.
Very intense day with very little time between each exercise. There was an hour long written exercise, with a five minute break before being moved on to a document review exercise. This was assessed by a partner, who then asked a few compentency based questions, one commercial awareness question. Then, a group exercise with all other candidates. This felt very artifical and we quickly agreed on the best course of action, which meant other candiates felt the need to waffle in order to fill up the remaining time.
