Shining Hope for Communities interview questions

Interview was with a panel of five staff members and lasted for an hour.I felt was more experienced and educated than the panelist and they wanted to know more about my previous job which was in a more superior organization.one panelist even asked me the salary i was paid in my previous job which i felt was personal.I don’t understood why they shortlisted me if they felt i was more qualified than they are.
