I applied online. I interviewed at Shilo Inns (Portland, OR) in Apr 2021
Interview
HR Director emailed (not called) to ask about my salary requirements and start date. I told her I was flexible on salary depending on what benefits were offered, and that non-financial perks such as âbeing able to work from home if my kid gets sickâ would be very valuable to me. She replied âThis is a roll up your sleeves and get to work position, a hybrid option is not an option.â THAT response threw up a ton of red flags for me. This company doesnât value working mothers, will make your life miserable if your kid gets sick, and for some reason, doesnât believe that people working remotely can accomplish what someone in the office can, which blows my mind that such ignorance still exists in 2021. A few hours later, I got a rejection notice. Run, run away from this company if you value a company that sees you as more than a slave. Reviews on this place are also terrible. I can see why.
