Application
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sherpa 6 (Chicago, IL) in Aug 2024
Interview
Applied online and was eventually sent a CoderPad online assessment. Passed the assessment and moved onto an introductory 15 minute HR call, for which the reviewer was late and had to reschedule - on top of the fact that I had to send multiple follow-up emails to actually get sent the link to the assessment after I was told to expect one. During the actual call, we briefly discussed my experience with various technologies before I was asked if I was open to travel, which I am not because A) multiple uncontrolled airborne diseases and B) research has incontrovertibly proven that this industry and many others have absolutely 0 justification for requiring any on-site work whatsoever. The call was immediately ended when I mentioned my lack of ability to travel. Keep this in mind on top of all the other negative reviews RE: culture and workload. On top of that, they want you to get secret clearance because they work with the DoD, so those with any moral convictions need not apply. Avoid like the plague if you value your time and energy
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Can you travel? (For a job that should be fully remote...)
Initial interviews went well, one of the final interviews lasted over two hours with technical difficulties. Would have been followed up by another interview (4 total including screening). 20+ hours including prep.
