Application
I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Shaw Industries in Oct 2011
Interview
Applied through school website. Got in contact with HR people and they set me up an interview and a tour of the facilities. Had to reschedule, they seemed as if that was okay because it was around a week in advance. I showed up and met and spoke with a few engineers on site then I had an one on one interview with an Sr. Engineer. After that a new engineer gave me a tour and introduced me to the current co-op student (At that time)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was so worked up and nervous that when he simply asked "Tell me about yourself" I started good, then I froze up out of no where. He saw that and let me know it was a relaxed interview, and started telling me about himself. Besides that standard questions, "Tell me about a time when you had to work in a group and the group's performance was not satisfactory"
The interviewer was kind and patient with answers. The questions that were asked during the interview were all behavioral and required the use of the STAR method to construct reponses. The interview was fairly short with only four questions asked total.
