It sounds like our recruiter was able to determine that you had at least the minimum education required but opted to consider other more qualified candidates with long-term care experience (i.e., in a nursing home). The job advertised is accurate. You shared an interview question regarding the Manager on Duty requirement. As this is a leadership position, we do ask our leaders to support occasional weekend and holiday coverage while the rest of our team takes the day off. It is a program that helps support our staff and elders in a meaningful way. It is correct that social work team members do support one another during vacations and other days off. In a nursing home, the elders require 24/7 support all year round, which means that our staff must take care of them regardless of time off scenarios.
