The interview process was three fold; first interview with HR, then a panel interview, and then a final interview. The interview questions in the panel interview were very different than anything I'd had before.

Question 1
Are you ok with coming into a very bureaucratic environment?
After applying, a Human Resources recruiter called to schedule an initial interview via MS Teams. Next, there was a required in-person interview with the hiring manager who is/was the DIrector for about 45-60 minutes which could have been a ZOOM call or a Teams Chat. Was told multiple times that the panel interviews were the bottleneck to anyone getting this role and any candidates moving forward. Very chaotic and disorganized process.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sempra (San Diego, CA) in May 2025
