      Employment Advisor Interview

      Apr 28, 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Bristol, England
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Seetec Pluss (Bristol, England) in Jan 2022

      Interview

The interview was conducted over teams with two people, one recruiter and a team leader. Both were really lovely and informative about the benefits and development opportunities Seetec Pluss had to offer. The main task within the interview was to do a role play based on being an employment advisor with someone new coming into your branch. This was followed by general competency questions and why I was a good fit for the role. I found out I got the role later that day at that point, I accepted without hesitation. The person asked if they had my permission to contact my current workplace for references which was fine. I handed my notice in and then a week before my last day, the company called me to say they had lost government funding for the role and therefore, wouldn't be able to take me on. They gave two options, to be put forward for a similar role in a different department HOWEVER, this role described more work for a max salary of £24k in comparison to the role I secured at £26.5k. Additionally, they expected me to interview again with additional paperwork/research needed. The second offer was to compensate me with a full week's worth of pay at the end of the month which I accepted even though I was leaving my current role and one week is an absurd and insulting amount. It's hilarious because a company with the sole purpose of helping people find sustainable jobs didn't even offer their own services. The company told me they would be in contact if another role comes up. I'm writing this review because I saw that the company has released a number of roles with one being the exact same description as mine...
