I can 100% see why former employees I am connected to left. I won't name this person, but they were so condescending and rude, and claimed to be all about building relationships, and literally said. NO I DONT MEAN 1-1 COFFEE, HOW WILL YOU GET TO KNOW ME??!!! (And turned red as in mad because he said I wasn't using the words HE liked). So narcissist and what a gate keeper. I am coming off an 11 year Counseling career in a Non Faith based environment, I did not hide that on my resume, in fact, I was INVITED to interview. This person said looking for the right candidate, meant Conservative, White, and they want someone "sweet and gushy", but it's a Dir. of Referral and Intake working with our most vulnerable info. You all don't have buy in - because if that is a SAMPLE of what your staff experiences, why would you? If you are a STRONG woman of color who applies to work ONSITE in a leadership role, don't. There are plenty of places you can work that you can showcase your love and gifts in a faith based environment that won't hold toxic traits in a 2nd round interview none the less.

I applied online, followed by reaching out to the hiring manager directly explaining why I would be a good fit for the position. After a phone screen, and an in person interview, I had a background check, and a drug test.
