I applied through other source. I interviewed at Seaport Global Securities (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2020
Interview
very long process. Phone interviews and then meetings, basically just describe the role to you and then want to know more about you. They only industry veterans. Great people though
I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Seaport Global Securities (Cambridge, MA) in Jan 2020
Interview
Interview process was efficient. We went over and discussed various skillsets required for working in the environment I applied for. As we went over the skillsets, we spoke to how each one applied to the area (such as AI, ML, statistics and applied math), and how these can be learned and developed as an employee in the company. At the same time, we discussed how working here can develop both talents and passions.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Seaport Global Securities (New York, NY) in Feb 2019
Interview
I interviewed for their summer workshop in lieu of an internship program. Felt less like a conversation and moreso just reading off questions from a sheet and responding "OK" to all my responses. They want to know why you are compelled to work in IB, and what your experiences are that fit in line with their company. Just depends who is interviewing you but in my case I felt awkward because of the questioning style.
