Got a call from a recruiter, they sent my resume to the hiring manager, did an interview within a few days, then I got an offer within a few days after the interview. I tried to negotiate salary after accepting and they said I should have no problem getting that (salary I asked for), then they came back and negotiated me down to a lower salary after relenting, then had their movers call me, then they rescinded the offer before they even started a background check —I’m guessing it was because my salary expectations were too high?? Either way, I know they’ve raised their base salary because new candidates come in now at what I had asked for just 6 months previously. Anyway, first company that’s ever rescinded an offer to me. I won’t even drink their bourbon now and dissuade my friends from it too because this was SUPER shady. Nonetheless, I landed an even better bourbon job with better benefits AND higher pay than what I asked for here. Thanks for nothing I guess?
