The interview itself in December was fine, purely question based such as “give an example of when you worked in a team”. The manager was friendly and also showed me around the store. This was meant to be followed by a referee check and potential offer.
What was more frustrating was afterwards the initial start date was early January. And when this was surpassed I called the manager to ask when I’d find out and they’d say by the end of the week - and regardless I would get an email with acceptance or decline. They did this each week for about 3 or 4 weeks. I came in physically twice at different times of the day and unfortunately the manager was not present (that’s not necessarily their fault as I didn’t disclose prior). However with now 2 months passing I feel that the answer was clear.
All they had to say was that I wouldn’t get an email back if I wasn’t chosen and I wouldn’t have been frustrated but it was this string along that disappointed me.
