I applied online. I interviewed at Santaluz Club (San Diego, CA) in Mar 2013
Interview
There was an ad on Craigslist for a spa attendant, for which I initially applied. This ad had an emphasis on food service, but in reality the position is a glorified towel folder and brush cleaner. When I told them I was a licensed nail technician of eleven years, they jumped at the possibility of hiring me for this role. I was told that the spa is very busy and that I would be booked every day because they have existing members. This couldn't be further from the truth. The spa was dead and I was living on $9/hour. While the other nail technician (with the same experience) was making $10/hour. Just ridiculous all around and a total waste of my time.
