Started with request to verify that the position description has been received and if any questions about that desc.
Then standard questions on match of skills with job duties, interest in and connection to the City, how to handle competing priorities & deadlines, how to handle challenging interactions with the public.
Unfortunately, the salary range on the description that interviewers made a point to confirm I had seen was not a true range. Their salary offer was very low in the range--not even at the range's 25th percentile!-- and City did not allow any negotiation of the salary hence the negative experience rating. This was an unfortunate end to the otherwise smooth process but could have been avoided if City had clarified that the listed salary range was not in use.
