I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Samsara (Toronto, ON) in Nov 2024
Interview
4 rounds in total, hr screening, technical screening, virtual on site ~3 hours. HR screening was straightforward, technical screening was problem solving with your preferred language, not leetcode style, but something related to their business logic. Virtual onsite was three rounds, two system design related and one final behaviour round with the hiring manager.
Throughout the process, the recruiter guided through via sending emails about any updates and confirmation for the upcoming interviews. I think I did well overall, the first design round was about walking through an application I worked on previously, but when they decided to reject, they said I didn't pass the first design interview, which I got a bit confused and the recruiter asked me to ask for more info for another person in the hr team and I didn't get any feedback eventually while I did put lots of effort into preparing for the interview.

One of the stupid interview ever. Its 45 minute coding interview from a very junior engineer, Asked me to write C++ with couple of classes. Able to write it. Then got a rejection within couple of hours. There is no single question on Machine Learning. This folks seriously don't know how to take interviews. Avoid this company.
