      I applied through university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Safran (Bengaluru) in Oct 2012

      Interview

      The hiring process started with a subjective test ( most companies use MCQ based tests for initial shortlisting of candidates). The test consisted of 10 questions covering various engineering disciplines like Strength of materials, dynamics of machinery, material science, vibrations, basic questions on FEM. The selected candidates were told to appear for one on one technical interview . This interview session consisted of a review of the subjective test conducted earlier, so be prepared. My interviewer asked a few short derivations on vibrations and Mechanics of solid. The hiring process finished with a HR interview which was just a formality.

      Question 1

      some questions from vibrations were very difficult and lengthy. In some cases you would require at least 20 minutes to solve them. Some trick question of mechanics of solid could easily leave you puzzled. For postgraduate people the interview was completely based on FEM and Numerical methods.
